Biography
During Snowbound Blood
Hayyan owns a gunship named Gunhildr, where he met his future moirail Rypite. Secily visits him in Snowbound Blood: Volume Ten to equip herself with new weaponry before her confrontation with Noxious, and to possibly discuss her case with Hayyan since he is stated to be "good at puzzles". After catching her snooping through his documents, Hayyan reprimands Secily harshly, calling her out the regulators' abuse of power and telling her to leave. Secily complies, but returns after calming down outside of the shop. In answer to her apology and humbled demeanor, Hayyan accepts three question regarding Secily's case. His insights cause her to finally confront Yeshin.

Relationships
Urscio Cerbon
Urscio is Hayyan's matesprit. She was designed by GreaserParty.
Rypite Koldan
Rypite is Hayyan's moirail. Hayyan is protective of Rypite, shielding him with his body when he thinks Secily is about to attack, and giving Secily the stink eye when she spoils the solution to a crossword puzzle for Rypite
Secily Iopara
Hayyan and Secily share many traits, like their hairstyle, love of chess, and proficiency with weaponry. As long as their encounter is being mediated by Rypite and Sirage, they interact politely and exchange puns, but the atmosphere quickly turns cold once they're left alone. Hayyan resents Corporate's regulators for their abuse of power, in general, and Secily, for her behavior in his show and towards Rypite, in particular. He is very clear that even after helping her, he wants nothing to do with Secily, but still offers his insights and even goes as far as wishing Secily good luck when she leaves.
Hayyan refuses to "play Secily's game" by cutting her off and making his own moves in the game of chess playing out in Secily's typing quirk. When Secily comes to speak to him the second time, she drops her quirk completely, which she usually only does around Mshiri.
