Etymology

Yeshin is derived from Yeshu, the Hebrew pronunciation of Jesus. Laevis is from the Latin lavo, meaning to make wet.

Biography

Before Snowbound Blood

Yeshin was raised by a crocodile lusus, who is responsible for the knee injury that causes Yeshin to limp. She uses a cane to make walking easier. At age nine, she starts making money by dealing information, quickly accumulating wealth which she shows by parading heavy jewelry and tailored clothes.

Three sweeps later, she meets Secily in a bar, and, after what Secily describes as a ... perhaps hasty courting process, she becomes her kismesis.

At Corporate's Awards For All ceremony prior to the events of Snowbound Blood, Yeshin gets in contact with Aumtzi Maught, who has previously been hired by the Harbingers of the Alpocalypse, and informs him of the convoy that transported the Vivifier's blood.

During Snowbound Blood

Secily meets Yeshin in her apartment in Snowbound Blood: Volume Eleven. They play strip poker and have sex, after which Secily chooses to hold Yeshin at sword-point to confront her about her role in the Snowbound Blood. The encounter quickly escalates, with Yeshin accusing Secily of hypocrisy because she was aware of Yeshin's illegal business for sweeps, and Secily accusing Yeshin of being nothing but a selfish liar and a cheat. When Yeshin continues to mock her kismesis for her lack of self-reflection, Secily uses Proserpina to blind Yeshin's left eye. By the time she leaves her, Yeshin is still alive.

Personality and traits

Yeshin is an unscrupulous and occasionally cruel woman hiding under a flirty and playful mask. She is very forward when approaching Secily for the first time, making a show of looking her up and down and frequently working innuendos into their conversation. Her success implies that she is a successful businesswoman. She takes great care of her appearance, wearing tailored clothes to show off her body and gaudy jewelry to show off her wealth.

Secily Iopara is known to be Yeshin's kismesis. Yeshin takes great pride in her relationship with the chief regulator, frequently dressing in their blood colors and wearing earrings in the shape of Secily's sigil. She enjoys riling Secily up, frequently making her wait when they have a rendezvous.
