Ikamai Amalie, known by her title as The Annalist, is the ancestor to Sovara Amalie who lived during The Renaissance.
Etymology
"Amalie" resembles Amélie, a French given name meaning 'work,' and may also be a reference to the film and musical Amélie,
a story about a young girl who decides to change the lives of those around her for the better while struggling with her own isolation.
