Etymology

Husske comes from "husk", as in "husks of corn". Similarly, Mayzee could come from either "maze" as in "corn maze", or "maize", another word for corn itself.

Biography

After schooling and given their weapon, Husske receded out of the city and into the farmlands with several other young trolls. They live on a nearby farm, their main source of food appears to be corn, along with using it as forms of bartering.

Personality and Traits

Husske appears to come off cryptic and at points unreadable to Secily, but it eventually turns out they are no more than a very intelligent child (if not a bit defensive of those they care for.)

Husske is very wary of the cornfields and realizes soon that Secily can also hear "the vøice. in the field. that calls withøut wørds. that whispers. in the spaces between".

They are the leader of their small All-Mother Cult, believing that one day a prophet will appear to save their world from its destruction. When brought up, Husske will go on an almost sermon-like monologue proclaiming so.

Husske, along with the other young trolls in their home, are pacifists. They refuse to use their weapons given to them to harm others, instead using them as farm equipment to grow and trade corn.
