She receives a message from an enthusiastic Serpaz, who's happy that the two of them will be spending time together because of the Game. Serpaz urges her to let the past go, but fails to properly assuage Sova's distress.


Sova proceeds to read the latest translated scroll: Four trolls gathered on a bonfire as The Jagerman eats his meal, The Vivifier hands The Annalist a drink as she drinks it happily and The Forgiven staring up the sky. The story continues as The Annalist asks The Vivifier for an another tale, which she complies. The Vivifier tells a story about a king who sees an old lady tending to the same persimmon tree.
In need of a distraction, Sova decides to read the latest scroll Albion has translated for her: a recounting penned by [[Ikamai Amalie|The Annalist]] of a parable told to her by [[Zekura Raines|The Vivifier]]. Before Sova can finish her reading, however, she is interrupted by a loud rumble coming from outside her hive. Thinking it might be her lusus, Cooperi, she decides to investigate, but is met with a dark, wispy creature standing by her window instead.


The king then inquires about the strange activity and the old woman hands him the fruit as he took a bite, delighted by the taste of the fruit. The old lady then tells him that the tree belongs to her lover and would smile every time she ate the fruit. The king was moved by the action and decides to protect it at all costs.
She goes inside her sanitization block to hide, checking Ellsee's second memo and asking the others about the strange monsters lurking outside, though she is interrupted by a message from [[Occeus Coliad|Occeus]] before she can get very far. They have a brief chat and he advises her to "clear her sight" and ignore the creatures, as they {{VE Quote|occeus|thrive .o.n y.o.ur attenti.o.n}}.


As the story ends, the Vivifier tells The Annalist that "all persimmons on our world today come from those seeds" as The Unknown looks at The Vivifier with love and affection.
She is contacted by [[Edolon Vryche|Edolon]] shortly after he restrains Serpaz in order to expedite her entry process, though not much of their conversation is shown. Later, Sova is seen talking to an anxious [[Jentha Briati|Jentha]] as Cooperi fends off the Abyss creatures, while they try to work through her entry process.


The Annalist concludes that she is being loved by those who are close to her and she and her friends continued eating and had sustained a feast of friendship. Before Sova can continue reading, she hears a loud rumble and decides to investigate. Thinking it's her lusus, Cooperi, returning home, she opens the curtain and sees a dark, tall creature staring at her as she screams.

The act opens with a dream sequence, as Sova navigates a nightmarish space that leads toward a huge steel birdcage. She is jolted awake by a series of [[Gaiaeon|ominous whispers]], having gone back to her hive after speaking to her [[Jegudial|denizen]]. Sova then travels back to the Medium, where her planet, the [[Land of Daze and Lattice]], is revealed.  


She is later seen hiding in her Sanitization Block from the creatures as she reads Ellsee's memo. As she reads Ellsee and Jentha's conversation as on how to win the Game, Sova decides to inquire about the creatures that has been lurking outside of her hive and suddenly receives a message from Occeus trying to confide things to her but quickly tells him that she's busy hiding from the creatures. He then tells her in order not to be seen by the creature, she must simply ignore it as they only seek for her attention.
[[Metatron]] is there to greet her, and they discuss the game, Sova's potential journey through it and Jegudial, her denizen. After some prompting from Metatron, Sova agrees to show him some of her writing, an in-progress script of a play called [[Upon the Twelfth Hour|''Upon the Twelfth Hour'']]. As she wraps up the reading, a skorpe notification pops up, letting her know that [[Arcjec Voorat|Arcjec]] created a new memo. She catches up with the other players, as they discuss the events of the past day and their progress through the Game so far.


She messages Jentha as Cooperi keeps attacking the creatures, with Jentha telling her that she wasn't the one who planned the entire situation and keeps whacking the creatures with a pillar using the Game's cursor.
