A typing quirk is a common form of writing used by trolls, deviating from standard forms of punctuation, capitalization, and other language features. Typing quirks are often unique to each troll.

Typing quirks are commonly carried over into written text and dialogue, although they may vary from the standard online usage. In troll culture, seeing writing in a given troll's quirk is considered validation of identity as good as recognition of handwriting.
