Snowbound Blood: Prologue, entitled "Duel", is the precursory installment of Snowbound Blood: A Vast Error Story.
Unlike future volumes, there are no character select cards. The prologue focuses on the game's protagonist, Secily Iopara.
Plot
The game's protagonist, Secily Iopara, shortly after executing two criminals in a counterfeit medicine lab, challenges a third to a duel. This duel, as she describes while she hands her opponent her second-best rapier, is a tradition for her for three reasons. She tells him the first reason: it’s only fair. Face to face, blade to blade, an honest chance. The duel then begins.
The duel doesn't last long, and soon enough, Secily emerges the victor. As her victim bleeds to death, she tells him the second reason: that if there is an afterlife, she needs him to carry on a message, that this is for Ahlina Robiad. [She] will send them as many as they need to avenge her.
Once he passes once and for all, she records information to document the success of her mission to her superiors and says the third and final reason: that [she enjoys] it, that she always has.
