Reruns
Reruns was a planned set of comics, which would've explored unseen scenarios from the main Vast Error timeline and glimpses into other probabilities from The Hyperthetical. It would've had a traditional comic style, similar to Homestuck's Paradox Space. An archive featuring scripts, concept art and ideas was published on August 21st, 2025, and can be viewed here.
Reruns would've had sporadic updates, once mentioned to be planned as monthly[1]. It would've began with comics more tied to the main timeline narrated by White Noise, with comics exploring other probabilities narrated by Mimesis slowly rolling out later.
History
According to the archive, Reruns was planned since the beginnings of Vast Error, some time around 2018. Reruns was first announced on March 22nd, 2021[2], described to be similar to the aforementioned Paradox Space, with the exception that all stories would be canon to Vast Error, whether they be unseen events, backstories, or different probabilities and alternative futures. A news post released on October 22nd, 2022 mentioned Reruns being internally reworked and set as low priority, but to be eventually released. A few sneak peaks of panels and concept art were posted on March 22nd, 2023, with the mention of it being put on the back burner until things were more sorted out.
Through a news post, on January 7th, 2024, it was announced that Reruns had been canceled, listed as being too ambitious. On the same news post, it was stated that more major stuff from Reruns would be reworked and added into Vast Error itself. Another Vast Error project, Wartorn Trails, first announced in 2021 as well, was also announced to be canceled and have its plans similarly reused in the same news post.
On March 22nd, 2024, there was an official charity stream raising money for eSIMs in Gaza and Care for Gaza. All money raised went on to be donated, with there being certain stretch goals to incentivize donations. One of these goals were archive releases of Reruns and Wartorn Trails, with Reruns' archive being released on August 21st, 2025.
